Barry Blue, age 56, was born and raised in the Bay Area. He attended public schools in Marin County and received his BA from UC Berkeley in 1974. After attending law school, Mr. Blue began practicing law in San Francisco in 1978 while at the same time foundeing his outdoor advertising firm, Blue Wallscapes, which specialized in large, painted murals painted on the sides of buildings . Blue Wallscapes was sold in 1993 to Patrick Media Group (subsequently acquired by Clear Channel Communications). Mr. Blue still operates outdoor assets in Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Mr. Blue lives in Kentfield, California with his wife Kimberly (also a UC Berkeley Alum) and their two children, Morgan, 12 and Melanie, 10. He is an enthusiastic volunteer at Ross School both in the classroom and in the fundraising arena, and is the head of the local “Indian Princess Nation”, a YMCA-based organization comprised of over 200 fathers and daughters which was formed to foster camaraderie between “Braves and Princesses”. He also serves as Treasurer of the Ross Valley Soccer League and coaches the Under-12 girls’ teams. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Blue is passionate about traveling and seeing the world; his most recent adventure was a trekking excursion in Bhutan. Mr. Blue runs, cycles and swims on a daily basis, and fly-fishes whenever he can.
