Kids Help Kids
EFF is passionate about giving children in America opportunities to help others less fortunate. It is vital to introduce the importance of humanitarianism at a young age as well as having personal relationships with kids from different cultures. Our goal is to raise young adults who care about the world, its’ people and know they can personally make a difference in a child’s life.
We believe that by giving children personal opportunities to get involved, we are giving them a chance to really know another child from a very different part of the world. And, regardless of how rich or how poor, how clean or how dirty, kids need love and need someone to love .When we give children opportunities to help those less fortunate and they realize one person can truly make a difference, we can change the world.

Special delivery! Through the generous donations of California students nearly 10,000 miles away (it's about 8900) from Ethiopia, an innovative project is underway to help fund much needed supplies for the children of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
One hundred warm blankets and tshirts were sent to the Alem organization(see more information in our project descriptions) by EFF to give the children a special 2007 Christmas. This year, 2008, each preschool child will receive a special gift with a homemade card created by 4th graders at the Waldorf School of Orange County. This is our 3rd annual holiday drive to send poor children things they need while helping their mothers finance a business.
Students from the Waldorf School of Orange County and the Corte Madera community in the Bay area are the driving force in this unique "Kids Helping Kids" effort.
School Events
The
Lycée Français La Pérouse located in Corte Madera will sponsor the
Kilometre Solidarite in May of 2008. Children from preschool age to 5th grade will run a course on the school's campus. The school will donate funds for each lap completed by each child. The Lycée students have participated in workshops to learn more about Ethiopia, the people and the needs of children. The students are eager to help and can't wait to sponsor EFF!
Families will support the
third grade class at the Lycée Français La Pérouse located in Corte Madera during their Friday afternoon greeting card and bookmark sale. Parents can purchase greeting cards and bookmarks made by children at the Children's Village in Ethiopia, sponsor a young girls education or make a cash donation to EFF.
Birthday Parties
You can support the work of EFF by promoting our work at your child's next birthday party. Shannon and Clementine celebrated their 5th birthday together with many friends and family in September. In lieu of gifts, the girls asked there friends to consider a cash donation that would be used to support the Children's Village in Ethiopia. Shannon's mom placed a poster and postcards along with a donation jar so friends could donate at his or her discretion. Shannon and Clementine raised almost $1,200!
